                                                                                  VISITING THE FARM

Welcome to Sunset Ridge Lavender Farm!  First and foremost, Sunset Ridge is our home.  We have been blessed to have so many wonderful visitors at our farm! Our goal is to provide a relaxing and enjoyable experience, whether it is rocking on our porch, sitting in the shade, sipping a lavender lemonade, or picking a beautiful bundle of lavender and enjoying the serenity of our property. When visiting during our open hours we ask that you respect our property and rules, and show kindness and consideration towards others.

We ask that upon your arrival you only access the property after you go through the barn and review the posted rules of the farm. Our lavender farm requires hours of work and a year-round commitment to provide a wonderful experience for our guests so it is important that you know the rules.  If you are interested in bringing a large group during our regular hours, we ask that you give us a week's notice so we can make sure we have enough staff to ensure a stress-free visit.  If you are interested in bringing a group outside of our regular hours, please reach out to info@sunsetridgelavenderfarm.com for more information.  While we do not charge an entrance fee or a per person charge during our regular hours, we do appreciate it when you support the farm with a purchase so we can continue to share it with you.

                                                                                                               RULES

  • Entering our farm outside of business hours is trespassing, which is unlawful and not permitted.  We ask that you respect our privacy when the closed sign is posted, even if the gate is open.

  • Our driveway is one way. Please do not exit through the entrance.  Follow the driveway to exit onto Jackson Road.

  • Park only in designated areas.  The main parking lot is flagged off.  Additional parking is beyond the main lot off the driveway out to Jackson Road.

  • Our gift shop entrance is located on the south side of the barn, near the handicap parking spaces.  Please use that entrance.  The shop exit will take you into the main barn.  The handicap ramp is on the north side of the barn, so those needing the ramp can enter and exit through the shop exit door. Our gift shop is small so we ask that you leave strollers and pets outside.

  • For U-Picks, go directly through the porch main entrance to the barn to pay, get scissors and instructions.  While we prefer cash payments, we are now accepting cash and credit in the barn.  U-Pick payments will no longer be accepted in the gift shop unless it is in addition to a gift shop purchase.

  • Please enjoy the landscape in the designated areas of our property but our U-pick fields are for paying U-pick customers only.

  • Please do not step or jump over the plants.

  • No access is permitted to the area and field around our private residence.  We have plenty of space around our purple barn for you to enjoy!

  • Children must be supervised and within an arm’s reach at all times and not allowed to wander for their safety.

  • Please do not move lawn furniture.

  • Please do not walk in the landscaped areas.  Do not pick up or move the rocks or decorative accents in landscaping.

  • We are a pet-friendly location but require all animals to be on a leash at all times and you are responsible to clean up after them.  No pets are allowed in the U-Pick field without prior authorization from management.

  • Do not litter.  There are trash cans in the barn, by the picnic tables, and by the portable restrooms.

  • No smoking or vaping allowed.

                                                                                                PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY

We welcome visitors to take photos on their cell phones for personal use in non-restricted areas during our open hours, with the exception that no photography is permitted 30 minutes prior to our closing time.  We are pleased that so many people love taking photographs of our farm when it’s part of their total farm experience, and we appreciate when you tag us on social media.

Entrance into our lavender fields is for U-pick customers only.  Please feel free to take cell phone photos as part of your U-pick experience. For the hobbyist photographer wishing to bring a regular camera to take nature photos, please check in at the barn for permission and to go over the approved areas available.  Professional and semi-professional posed or nature photography in our U-pick lavender fields will be available on a limited basis during our U-Pick hours. The photographer does not need to be receiving payment for the shoot or be considered a “professional” for our fees to apply.  The charge is $40 per hour. No mini sessions. No tripods or props allowed.  Please do not jump over plants to get to another row.  NO DRONES.

This year we will provide a limited number of semi-private evening photo sessions with access to the fields around the barn.  We DO NOT provide the photographer. Each session will have an alternate date in the same time slot the following week for weather related issues only.  These sessions will be $75 per hour.  This year we will allow 2 sessions per hour.  We do not issue refunds. You must book and prepay for your session on our website before you arrive. Paying any fee does not give you exclusive rights or access. The amount of lavender in the field cannot be guaranteed.  Please arrive at your scheduled time.  If you arrive early, please wait in your car until your time slot, and instruct your clients to do the same.  You and your clients must sign in at the barn, as well as sign out before you leave.  No group larger than six is allowed per shoot. If you have a larger group, please contact us by email for possible arrangements.

You can book your session through our website on the "Activities" page.  Sessions will be 6:30 to 7:30, and 7:30 to 8:30.  Dates for evening sessions will be as follows:

Sunday, June 14, 2026- Alternate date is Sunday, June 21, 2026

Monday, June 15, 2026 - Alternate date is Monday, June 22, 2026

Sunset Ridge Lavender Farm reserves the right to alter this policy or refuse photographer access at any time for any reason.
